Supplier and Contractor Code of Conduct

All Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) suppliers and contractors are expected to act with honesty and integrity at all times.

Supplier and contractor representatives visiting MCEC are required to wear an identification badge (name and company) and maintain a professional manner.

Supplier representatives shall visit only those departments for which prior approval has been granted by the department head or the appointed representative.

Suppliers and contractors are advised that all employees of MCEC are required to comply with MCEC’s Code of Conduct (the unity Code) and the Code of Conduct for Victorian Public Sector Employees (No.1) 2007. These Codes of Conduct state in part that employees “must not, for themselves or others, seek or accept gifts or benefits that could reasonably perceived as influencing them”.

Further information regarding the Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct can be obtained from Victorian State Services Authority website

Suppliers and contractors are advised that it is the duty of all MCEC employees to report any suspected unethical or illegal conduct.

Suppliers, contractors and their representatives found in breach of these guidelines may be refused future commercial access to MCEC.

All MCEC suppliers are also required to provide evidence of their commitment to the ethical sourcing standard within their company when requested.
