MCEC’s Giant Easter Egg Smash!

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s (MCEC) talented pastry chefs have handcrafted a giant chocolate Easter egg, filled with over 500 Easter eggs and chocolate gold coins.

The entire creation is edible, weighs more than 50kg and is made from premium Belgium chocolate generously donated by Creative Ingredients.

At 2.30pm during the Good Friday Appeal’s “Kids Day Out” at MCEC, Channel 7 Saturday Disney host, Teigan Nash will smash the giant Easter egg open!

To be part of the smash kids must draw out a lucky golden egg from MCEC’s ‘Lucky Dip Basket’ at "Kids Day Out"– Lucky dip is by gold coin donation (all proceeds donated to the Good Friday Appeal).

If they draw out a golden egg they will receive a golden ticket, to be presented at the entrance to the giant Easter egg SMASH!

Each golden ticket winner will be given an Easter basket to fill with as much chocolate as they can from inside the smashed egg!
