MCEC appoints Director of Information Technology

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Celeste Johnston as Director of Information Technology.

Celeste joins MCEC from AGL where she was Head of Digital Technology Quality Assurance Digital Transformation Capability Leader. Prior to joining AGL, Celeste was Head of Quality Assurance, Project Governance and Release Management at Latitude Financial/GE Capital. She has held a number of senior positions with organisations including Credit Suisse, Telstra and Coles Myer.

She has extensive experience in digital transformation, ensuring technology delivers business value and leading large, complex digital delivery services.

MCEC Chief Executive Peter King said he was excited to have Celeste join the MCEC team in the newly-created role.

“Celeste’s appointment comes at a time when we require further innovation, energy and cross-departmental collaboration as we take our business into the future,” he said.

“This is an exciting time for MCEC and I’m looking forward to Celeste joining us in August.”

Celeste said she was delighted to be joining MCEC.

Celeste will commence as Director of Information Technology at MCEC on Monday 6 August 2018.
