Leighton Wood, Chief Operating Officer, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has announced his plans to retire following over ten years of service.

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has been awarded the Freedom Award by Guide Dogs Victoria (GDV) for allowing access to the venue while Melbourne was in lockdown, to enable Guide Dogs and their owners/trainers to continue vital training despite Stage 4 restrictions.

  • Bring the team back together at MCEC

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is welcoming back small events and meetings, in-person, in a safe space, and with the support of VenueSafe specialists.

  • Meetings in-person are back in town

According to research by Tourism Australia’s Business Events team, there is a real appetite to get back to face-to-face events as businesses look to build team morale, reinforce company culture and reward their employees, and to meet with their suppliers or customers.

  • It’s time to talk business.

As COVID-19 restrictions are easing and people are reconnecting in real life, it's time to start thinking and talking about your next event.
