Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is owned by the Victorian State Government and managed by Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust.
MCEC encourages competition through a standardised procurement process. We perform a comparative analysis of all relevant costs and benefits for each purchasing proposal over the life of the purchase.
We also ensure all of our procurement processes are conducted in an accountable, transparent and ethical manner.
Our procurement process
Our process is aligned with Victorian State Government Purchasing Board rules.
We ask that suppliers declare any conflicts of interest upfront and that they don’t engage in any form of gift giving or hospitality, as that would jeopardise the overall process.
MCEC undertakes an annual benchmarking evaluation and certification through the EarthCheck program and is Gold Certified.
